Water on Porch Steps

My porch steps retain large puddles of water after a good rain. The puddles sit right in the center of each step and span over half the step. This concerns me since that condition will become really dangerous in the winter months by creating "Ice Steps".

I have a few ideas of what I might do to level the steps but before I do something that might make matters worse I like to ask what is the right solution to drain off the water on the steps? ?

Thanks,

Arnolfo

First question I think that needs to be asked, What are your steps made of? I'll take a shot in the dark here and say that if they are made from wood they could be "cupped". It may be possible to remove them carefully and turn them over if they aren't too damaged.
