How to stop bugs from accumulating inside lamp shade on porch/patio

Does anyone have any good solutions to keep bugs out of lamp shades on the patio? (Other than some funky yellow or other color bulb) Unfortunately, this lamp shade is completely open on the top and seems to be very attractive to bugs. They fly in and die and accumulate on the bottom.

Point a 6 inch fan at it. If they still made "punks", I'd recommend them.

I have found the best solution is to suggest homeowners install downward opening light fixtures outside, mainly for the bug thing, but to allow them to change bulbs easier and to keep blown rain from directly hitting the bulb, causing it to burst. I know you already have the fixtures, but changing them out would alleviate the problem.

What makes you think that the bugs won't fly into the light from the bottom?

They will, but when they die, they won't collect in the diffuser. Hopefully they will fall to the ground and not have the problem they are having. I liked the idea of punks stuck out the top
