Deck leaking sap?

Have approx. 10yr old deck, built with first wood in stock at diy store after law changed for preservative chemicals. i.e. wood was very wet/fresh, stained deck right away, didn't let it air dry, in hind sight realize should have waited 90 days before first stain applied. We have stained deck many times since. last summer most recent.
Knot holes have sap releasing from wood, causing sticky spots bleeding through stain.
Any ideas on how to cure this problem?

Thanks ,,

There isn't a whole lot that can be done about bleeding sap About all you can realistically do is scrape off and restain the affected areas. It will quit sooner or later...... after 10 yrs it sounds more like later
