Building pergola attached to stucco?
Hi all,
I'm new to the forums and happy I found this site. I've been researching building a pergola. I live in the SW in a stucco home. I feel pretty confident building the pergola but I don't know where to start when it comes to the ledger board. My question is, where do I find the ledger board? I know I have to cut into the stucco but I don't want to start blindly.

You will always be better off if you can build it free standing, with no attachment to the house... this is ESPECIALLY true with stucco homes.
