Closing in my screen porch
I am in the process of remodeling my ranch house. We have already added a front porch to the house by adding on a 3/12 pitch roof to the existing roof. Next I want to address the old screen porch on the side of my house. Currently, it is screened from ceiling to floor. I want to close in about the bottom 3 feet of the porch so that my dogs do not run through it like they have in the past. My question is, what is the best way to do this? At one point i thought of digging a footing and having a brick skirt installed around the porch. Due to my budge, I will have to just update the existing setup. Also what would look the best? I have attached a picture so you know what I'm talking about. Any advice is appreciated!!

Welcome to the forums!
Why not cover the bottom with plywood/vinyl siding? you'll need a cap to cover the top rail [bottom of the screen] A cheaper alternative would be to install T-111 on the bottom portion.
