I bought a house with a 30'x 20' wooden deck that I'm guessing is about 10 years old, in very nice condition. It is pressure treated lumber, thank goodness, but it has no colored stain or paint on it. I would like to add some features to it--posts and overhead structures. What sort of product should I use on the deck that will, A) make it appear more uniform (after the new part is completed) and B) will extend the life of the old deck?

Thanks,
McMarlin

I have always used Super Deck stain and sealer. Gives a very consistant finish, and LASTS! Not cheap (about $25.00 / gal.), but you aren't redoing it every 2 or 3 years, like you would be with some of the less expensive stains and sealers.
