My newly stained deck is bubbling -- help!

I just had my deck stained by a professional, now I am plagued with the stain bubbling.

What is causing this to happen? It was power washed before the stain went on. Could it be because of moisture trapped in the wood? Is there an easy fix?

Thanks

How long was it allowed to dry before staining? If the wood was very weathered, the washing could have soaked it pretty good and could take a week or so (or more) of warm dry weather to dry out.

If you payed someone (a "Pro"), then they should have known whether it was dry enough. Looks like he needs to come back.

Ya, call the pro back! If he's a reputable contractor he'll come back and make it right even if there isn't a written warranty.

Moisture in the wood is most likely the cause.

One more vote to bring the pro back.

Have you paid him yet? Hopefully not....
