Wood railing with Trex deck boards

In order to comply with local codes, we replaced the railing in our elevated deck last year. We used pressure treated wood for the railing. I'm considering replacing the current deck boards (because of maintanance, splinters, etc) with Trex deck boards (which is a wood/plasitc composite). I'd like to minimize my costs at the moment and would like to keed the existing railing. Any reason why having trex deck boards and a wood railing wouldn't work?
