Molding over Screen Tight

We have two new cats that have done a lot of damage to our porch screens. I was pulling off the screen tight to replace the damaged portions and realized that the top piece of Screen Tight is overlapped with wooden moulding. How should I proceed from here, try to pry it off? My carpenter skills are limited I don't want make a bigger mess than what I already have.

Yes, you have to remove the wood molding. Use a thin pry bar or even a sturdy putty knife to get under the molding and gently lift it. The nails holding it in place will either pull out or pull through the molding.
