Driveway/Concreate Resurfacing

I recently purchased a home that has a driveway crack that has been filled with an epoxy filling to prevent water from going in and eroding below the concrete.
It's a little unsightly so I'd like to improve the appearance.
I've heard of people putting a new thin layer of cement over the driveway. I assume you cannot just cover the crack but need to resurface the total drive.
Is this correct ? Does it hold up well ?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I wouldn't expect anything that thin to hold for any length of time. How long is the crack?

You could apply a concrete stain to the driveway BUT it will be an ongoing maintenance issue.

polymer-modified cements have been around for a long, LONG time & perform well,,, there are even fed specs + state dot specs written to accommodate the stuff,,, naturally likely permanence is depending on surface prep, product quality, & artisan skills,,, concretenetwork.com is 1 source as is concretelocator.com & decorativeconcreteforum.com [ no $ interest ],,, & no, nothing is uv-proof against fading

our atl d/w was resurfaced 12yrs ago & the only part that's color ( acid-stain'd ) is the throat which gets new coat of sealer each yr - we use ' css ',,, it IS the best sealer outside of polyureas
