concrete patio staining

I have a large poured concrete patio with a broom finish that I'd like to stain and maybe stencil. Never done this, but I'm good at design, just need help with execution. Any ideas or pointers?

There is a big (really huge) difference between design and execution.

What is "large" (sf?).

fortunately, staining an existing slab allows a lot of interpretation in what is right.

Square footage is roughly 600, but I'm only interested in staining borders around my gazebo/hot tub, and the firepit. Not much coverage.

What type of stain job do you want? one that is translucent or more of a solid color?

proper material selection, experience, & execution are prime factors,,, eneryone's ' good ' @ design but transforming/creating what 1 ' sees ' in their heads into reality's another,,, broomed finishes promote stain ' creep ',,, start here & look around - concretenetwork.com
