cleaning patio door tracks

Can't seem to locate suggestions for cleaning patio door tracks. The track is aluminum. At one time it appears to have been treated with graphite(?). One website said to lubricate both wheels and track with a silicone lubricant....doesn't seem right to me, as wheels should roll, not slide. I figure I should carefully lubricate the wheel pivots/axles....not the track or wheel rim that rolls on the track. I imagine just keeping the track of debris and gunk would be the best.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What looks like graphite might simply be aluminum being worn off the track. Give the track a good cleaning. A vacuum is good at removing debris. If it doesn't get any better I'd remove the moving door panel so you can get a good look at its wheels. They may be seized or broken or simply need a good cleaning and spray with some oil.

Best way to see what is need, remove the whole door.
Then you would have complete access to the tracks and the rollers.
Cheap door, the rollers almost always will jammed up and need replacing.
Your right the track is never lubed, only the rollers.
There's screws on the outside edges of the door frame that need to be back off to remove the door, once there backed off the door lifts up and comes straight out at the bottom.
Often takes two people to get it out, one at the bottom with a flat bladed screw driver to lift the roller to clear the track.
