cedar deck question agubg

Another question concerning our cedar deck. We applied about 2 years ago an Australian timber oil from cabot. Many spots need a re application. I don't mind the look of aged silver cedar however. If we leave it over the years will all of the oil we applied wear off to reveal the aged cedar?

If we were to do this i wouldn't want it to look real blotchy is what I am concerned about if we went down this path.

Thanks again for the assistance.

Because different parts of the deck receive different intensity of weather, it won't wear the same. Left unmaintained for long enough and the odds are all [or most] of the stain will wear away. If it was mine, I'd clean the deck and apply a fresh coat of stain ........... but then I am a painter

If you want to abandon the Timber Oil, pressure wash the deck. I have no use for anything creates unnecessary work. Sealers do exactly that.
