Deck plans for review

I am planning to build a deck, please see the basic plans here:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5L...ew?usp=sharing

It is a ground level deck. The house has a sliding glass window exiting to the deck. The deck will not be attached to the house. The frame and center are currently 2x10s, the posts are 4x4 and the joists are 2x8s. What I'm wondering is if I could use 2x8s for the framing and center, and 2x6s for the joists. I'm also looking for any feedback on the design.

If there is any information required that is missing please ask.

Put four 4x4 posts on the outside long spans like ones down the center. With the spans you have listed there, you could build the entire thing out of 2x6, just make sure to double up the rim joists around the outside of the deck.

2x6s would be fine for the joists and 2x8s will be fine for the center. 2x8s would probably work for the framing but would probably flex some because of the 8' spans involved.

When you say ground-level, how close to the ground is this deck actually? Decks need space underneath them to breathe or else the wood will rot quite quickly. Are the 4x4s sitting on top of concrete piers?
