Maximum overhang of decking boards on patio roof?

Maximum overhang of decking boards on patio roof?

On a patio roof, how far can roof decking boards overhang the side of a beam or rafter? The decking boards are perpendicular to the rafters, so overhanging the side of the rafter is the "short" edge of the decking board and overhanging the rafters is the "long" edge of the decking board. Decking boards would be 1x6 or 2x6 tongue and groove.

Not sure I'd want more than an inch of overhang. What type of roofing do you intend to use? no fascia board??

I plan to use metal PBR panel. Dead load is 10 psf and snow load is 20 psf.

Trim

Look at the roofing trim material which goes along the rake. How much overhang will it accomodate?
