Removed rusted old metal shed, now what?

Hey All.

New here, first post. Just purchased a house, we removed an old metal rusted shed from our yard that was right next to our house and covered patio. The foundation was cinder blocks and rocks. I am most definitely a novice when it comes to anything handy, but if anyone has any advise/suggestions on what to put in this spot please do not hesitate.

Some people suggested simply just putting pavers on top of the foundation. I do like this idea, but I don't think it really would be that simple.

Look forward to hearing from some of you soon, Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

What do you want in the space - another building, a patio, ...?

Well, we were hoping it was just a concrete pad underneath so it could just act as an extension of the patio after some cleaning, but no such luck.

I know we are not wanting another building there, we like the idea of pavers, just not really sure how to start with the foundation that is there?

Also, considered removing and filling the old foundation and throwing down grass seed.

This is the best picture I have on me at the moment, with the plywood still on top. It is roughly 10'x7-1/2'. I will get a net and post a new picture as soon as possible.

Based on that picture I would either do nothing and just use it as it is or take up everything that's there and dispose of it. What's there is not a good enough foundation to put anything on top of. If you want to put down pavers just take what there up put in a appropriate footing for the new pavers and go from there.
