Any Chance that Exterior Latex Paint will Stick to Vinyl?

I am rebuilding my 1902 front porch and want to enclose the one foot gap between the ground and porch fascia with lattice to keep the critters out. The only small gap lattice that HD has is vinyl. Can I get away with painting it?

Shouldn't be a problem. Vinyl siding often gets painted, just make sure it's clean and it wouldn't be a bad idea to add a little of Flood's EmulsaBond to the first coat.

Thankyou, thankyou. I am 71 and forget things I have learned. I learned of Emulsabond years ago on this forum and painted some ever peeling masonry. There isn't a chip in that masonry paint after 6-7 yrs and I still have part of the quart of Emulsa. I am good to go and hope I can fool the historic police here in Boulder.
