Sap Removal on freshly painted deck

Deck was painted 2 days ago and I noticed some sap that was pushed through the floor boards. I was thinking of using warm water and soap but don't want to ruin the new paint. Any ideas?

What type of coating was used on the deck? If it's sap coming out of wood on the deck [not dripped off a tree] there isn't much you can do other than scrape off the sap and touch up as needed.

B&M Solid Stain. Coming OUT from under the wood. Could I use mineral spirits / or paint thinner? Or goo gone?

Mineral spirits will help dissolve the residue but won't wash the glob away. Time is the only real fix as sap will continue to 'boil' out of the wood until it's gone. The longer you wait the more brittle the sap will get making it easier to scrape off but waiting longer also ups the risk of the stain not touching up well.

I am tempted to use a bit of goo gone as it really stands out. Blah.
