Replace deckboards under current stairs

Currently have a set of stairs that rest on another deck/ landing. Looking to replace the wood with composite decking. How can I go about replacing the boards without completely removing the stairs?

Is the underbelly of the deck beneath the stairs visible at any time? If not, remove the bottom riser and cut the boards such that when you put the riser back in the break in the boards happens under the riser and is not visible from the main deck.
