Composite vs PVC decking?

OK, I live in Maine. Is the extra cost of PVC decking worth it? Will composite decking stand up for 20+ years? Is Trex different from the Lowes Choice Dek material? My local lumber dealer quoted us for Azek PVC... don't know if it was because of profits or what, but it does come with a warranty. Difference is $30 for Choice Dek vs $63 for Azek (16').
One contractor I talked to said PVC or PT. Another guy said he prefers cedar decking. I am not going to get something that requires upkeep again.

I never did a PVC deck. I've done plenty of Trex, if you want maintenance free. It might be hot if the children walk with bare feet. Other than that it's okay.

I would certainly use either over real wood but sorry, I cannot answer your question about one over the other.
