Black umbrella stand 1/2 lighter?

I've my patio umbrella stand. Is it flat black or semi-gloss? I saw 1/2 of the umbrella stand is lighter if I would paint my entire umbrella stand again and I don't see any uneven anymore.

I am going to use the semi-glossy. If I paint again, I won't see any uneven anymore. Is it ok?

Some brands will fade quicker than others. Quality latex paints generally don't fade as quick as oil base but may or may not be appropriate depending on what material the stand is constructed of. Oil base paints are generally more durable.
