Deck ledger board attachment question.

Deck ledger board attachment question.
I have an existing deck that I plan to resurface with composite decking. I am aware of the need to add joists etc if needed. My existing ledger board does not have lag bolts thru the board into the house above the basement sliding glass door. The board runs about 20 feet total and has lag bolts on either side of the door. The back of my basement foundation is framed, not concrete. Can anyone think of a reason there are no lag bolts above the door? Should I add them? Thanks!

Is it a double ledger? The first could be bolted and the second nailed. You don't see the bolts because they are counter sunk to the first board. Or if using hangers, they may be hidden behind your joists.

Apparently I was not clear.
The ledger board is approximately 20 feet long. It starts about 6 feet to the left of the sliding glass door. In that area there are bolts holding it to the house. Above the sliding door there are no bolts. To the right of the door there are bolts again. They appear to be lag bolts. The basement is finished so I have no way to see the inside.
My question is; for the 6 feet or so above the sliding door, does anyone know why there are no bolts, and should they be added?

There may be a steal or concrete header above the door and the builders didn't/couldn't drill through to install anchor bolts over the door.
