Rotting deck stringers - options?

Rotting deck stringers - options?

Unfortunately the very bottom of my decks stringers are rotting.

Please see here.

It is one long piece of lumbar all the way to the top and seems like a huge headache to completely replace.

Any ideas on a viable solution that doesn't involve replacing the whole stringer(s)? If that's the only option I may just hire a contractor.

I'd appreciate some ideas, thanks.

Welcome to the forums!
You might get by with adding a 2x6 [?] at the bottom to secure the bottom tread to. It would be better to replace the stringers. If you find using a square to lay it out to complicated you could take the old stringers and use them as a template.
