Replacing Deck
I’m replacing a deck that is 8’2”x24’5” with 3/4”x 3.5” tongue and groove treated boards. The problem I’m running into is that the old boards overhang a few inches on each end so instead of being able to use 2 12ft boards It seems like I’ll have to use a 12ft and and 16ft board. Is there any other way to not have so much waste? By the way the joists are 16” apart if that makes a difference

Do like I did: After years of messing with decking and the yearly upkeep, we put in a stone patio. Now I will just do some levelling every few years.

You typically establish a stairstepped pattern, and there is very little waste if you do what marksr said and get a few 14's.
4/8/12/16...
4+16+5
8+16+1
12+13
16+9
5+9=14 and 13+1 = 14.
So every 4 rows would require 4 1/2 @ 16' and 2 @ 14'. Or you waste 4' off a 16' every 4 rows. Not that big of a deal.
If your joists are 2' on center, you could probably establish a similar pattern using 12s and 14s.
If you want to eliminate the overhang you could trim the boards flush and add an additional perimeter fascia to cap the cut ends.
