Deck staining question

After I pressure wash my deck, how long does it need to dry before I stain it? Related question: Any advice for a good protective stain or finish?

It needs to dry, how long that takes depends on several things; how much sun and wind it sees along with how porous the wood is. Sometimes decks will be dry the next day while other decks might take several days. Generally you'll find better deck stains at your local paint store versus a big box paint dept. SuperDeck and Cabot are a couple of brands that come to mind.

Need to build up erosion, add small retaining wall & paver edging...

Hello all, Loss of a wooden fence along sloped driveway, exposed issues... Issue #1) The need for a small retaining wall (approx 6"), where pool pump area is, then up 90 degrees into the yard until level ground because area is eroding. Before installing new fence...What material(s) would you use to build up erosion, around pool pump? Then, While leaving room to install new fence, how would you build a small retaining wall along slope between pool pump and down driveway, turning 90 degrees, up into yard, until it levels off? Patio expansion advice. Initial phase messed up :(

Hello friends I have en existing patio that is 12'x12' and I wanted to expand it to 17'x14. My calculation was way off in the first place and hence had to stop the work after working on one side (Phase1). Additionally, I did not put any expansion joint between this and the existing wall. Third mistake was that I put way too much water to the concrete mix than what was the recommended amount. Some pictures are attached for reference. So, I am thinking of couple options: 1. Put some bonding/adhesive layer to the Phase1 and then pour some more concrete and level it to existing patio. Then pour concrete on the rest of the sides and get done. 2. Remove the Phase1 and then start from beginning. 3. Is there some way where I could simply lay bricks of different thickness to make everything level. I would appreciate your help and suggestions.
