Built in L bench with storage

Hi, need some advice. On this outdoor built-in bench, it is covered with a ceiling but was wondering if I should add small metal legs to keep it off the ground from water damage. I donít believe water would flow in and I do live in Southern California but wanted to see what others thought.

Or or should I not add legs to keep off ground and seal the seams with a caulk sealant?

Welcome to the forums!

What is the patio floor made of ? what's with that electrical box?
If you put legs under it you'd also be making a spot for bugs, dust and stuff to gather.

I would not add legs but the only place that might get wet is that front lower 2 X 4. I would use a PT 2 X 4

If it's also going to be used as bench to sit on, then legs will be necessary. High enough to comfortably sit. I also think it will be aesthetically more attractive with legs.
