Hi,

I just installed my deck boards and would like to seal/stain them. I noticed that they are still really wet(i guess from the pressure treating?). Anyways, how long should I wait before staining them?

Also, is there a good/bad brand of stain/sealer?

Thanks,

D.

It may take along time for your lumber to dry. Many times as much as a year. Very common. Whatever you do, do not use a sealer on your deck. Big mistake. Use a stain only.
If you use a sealer, when the water evaporates out of the deck lifting off the sealer and making a big flaking mess.
Good Luck
