patio stones sloping towards house
I have two patio stones on the side of my house that are sloping towards the house. I plan to remove them and re-grade so the base slopes away from the house. What is the best method / materials to use to do this? Thanks.

I would get some fine crushed stone or play sand. Remove the pavers then put down some sand/stone and use a long stick or straight edge to smooth it out with a taper of about 1/8-1/4" per foot slope away from the house. The important thing is to spread out the sand/stone so the pavers are completely supported. If you just dump a ridge of stone/sand near the house the paver will be sloped away but may break in the middle where it's not supported.

Thanks! Is crushed limestone okay to use? And do you think it's necessary to tamp it down?

Compacted crushed limestone is the absolute best material for any type of paver project!
Question, what is that gap to the left of the door at the bottom?

If you're referring to the black strip, I think it's the damp proof course membrane. There is also a 1.5" gap between the foundation and the patio paver.
