Post Crack Looks Serious?

Exclamation Post Crack Looks Serious?

The post crack looks like much more than “checking” and there is some sort of mirroring of the crack... thinking we may need to get this fixed ASAP? Totally replaced or something like a brace?

Yea I'd say those are bad. You could use a steel mending plates.
Can I ask how old this deck is? Is it just the one post or more than one?

Ideally you'd replace that post although I have one on my front porch that is almost that bad and I used bolts and fender washers to hold it together - that was over 20 yrs ago and it's still holding together. On yours I think I'd use both mending plates and bolts.
