aluminum screen with aluminum spline

Title says it. Have never seen this, think it is .250 put Lowes did not have any to try. The .190 is to small. Before I order is there any other spline between .190 and .250 ? Trying to replace with the rubber type.

Looks there are several sizes in between. Don't know how common they are.
There's .210 (7/31) and .220 (7/32).

I repair screen almost every day. When a screen comes in with the metal spline I discard the spline and use the vinyl or rubber. You cannot easily re-use the old metal spline (possible but not recommended). You need to get the 1/4 dia spline.

edit...I also strongly recommend using Fiberglas screening instead of metal. Fiberglass or cloth is easier to handle and will lay straight without possible wrinkles or bubbles or creases. And you can usually get it tighter with out bowing the frame.

Thank you, Norm, I knew you wouldn't let me down! I started to reply earlier that what you said because that's exactly what I did when one of the old boys down the road dropped a screen by and asked if I'd fix it for him a while back, but decided "nah, I'll wait" because I figured you would be by with the right answer in case mine wasn't.
