Mold or mildew on outside walls

In the rear of my house that faces north and on the side of the house that faces west on the vinyl siding and on the composite deck I have a green mold or mildew that I am removing with my pressure washer. Those areas don't get any direct sun. It's a tedious job to say the least. Is there something I can do to those surfaces so next year I won't get that mold or mildew whatever it is? Thanks. Rich

Keeping it clean is the best thing you can do. Mixing some Borax laundry detergent when you scrub and power wash may help. The Borax contains some natural mildewicide. It's preventative maintenance. Nothing is "maintenance free".

Without sun it's going to be a constant maintenance item!
