How would you attach a triple beam to a concrete footer?

Is it possible to attach a triple beam to a concrete footer like you would a post?

Most anchors I've found are 3.5" or 5.5". A triple beam would come in at 4.5".

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

A triple beam used as a post? What are you doing? What type of "beam" are you installing? What is the other dimension of your "beam", it's 3 1/2" in one direction but how long is it in the other direction since most posts are square but most beams are rectangular?

The only thing I can think of that you might call a triple beam would be three 2"x pieces like 2x4's but those don't bear directly on a footer. They are first attached to a sole or bottom plate which is what gets attached to the footer.

I think he is asking about (3) joists mounting on top of a cement pier (calling it a footer) like you would mount on top of a wood post!

I guess the question is why would you have (3) joists, I dont recall ever seeing a situation where that would be needed!

Thanks for the replies. I would go 3 so that I could go with a smaller width (do to lack of clearance). For instance, (2) 2x8's can be replaced with (3) 2x6's.... Or so the internet says lol.

You would use an ABU66Z and shim the sides to be full width of the bracket, as shown in the Simpson catalog under ABA/ABU/ ABW (beam installation).
