I use a 1:4 bleach to water solution for heavy growth or in hot summer when it evaporates faster. In cooler weather and lighter deposits I use 1:6ish.
Yes, wetting moss will make it slippery and adding super slippery bleach doesn't help but bleach works best at killing it. For a less slippery option you can use an iron sulphate solution but it causes slight rust stains which might be a nice look since it can look a bit like stained concrete.
I used W&Forget on some concrete paving stones with moss. Worked great in 2-3 days. I am not near water and see the warning on the label. Nothing about ocean runoff. Why not do it on a clear day with no rain for a few days.
The deck runs e-w across the front of the house for 42' and faces south. It is 10' out from the face of the house and just over 8' up from ground level. Well shaded along the way.
Will it make much of a difference for ventilation if I put in privacy plastic lattice vs standard plastic lattice?
I've never dealt with lattice before. This is in Michigan where we can have lots of humidity or not - during the summer months. I personally want privacy lattice but am concerned about ventilation and mold. Read More
