Early composite decking too tight

Over 12 years ago I built a 1200 sq. ft., 3 level deck. It was my first and I read every book I could find. Composite deck boards weren't what they are today and I'm faced with deck boards that have expanded across their width, with the result that dirt and water can't fall through the gaps. I used hidden fasteners and the screws have rusted. Like an idiot I only used stainless steel screws when the heads would be visible. Any suggestions?

Given that the fasteners are between the boards you would have to be careful with this but one solution to this problem with wood is to run a circular saw between the boards to cut a gap.

I also have hidden fasteners and they came with SS screws, not sure why you dont have them but not a problem, and composite deking does not expand, your good.

My decking looks exactly like what you have but it appears you have a lot of debris that has fallen into the gaps but there is nothing unusual about that.

Every spring I get the hoses hooked up to the compressor and blow out everything that has collected, once you clean out the gaps of all the crap you will be good.
