Question Attaching ledger board to brick veneer?

How should I attach a ledger board to brick veneer? I am concerned with the 1/2" air gap behind the brick. Will the brick move as the lag bolts are tightened in to the rim joist of the house?

Thanks.

Not really sure that I would try to do that. If it were mine to do, I would put up a second set of supports (another beam and support posts next to the house) and make the deck a 'floating' deck. Where I live, they went to requiring that because of all of the houses that were built with the engineered floor joist and sometin=mes they will use them for the outsisw band as well. Had cases where the deck collapsed because there wasn't enough to hold the weight of the deck. Your local building department will have the final say as to how you can atach it. Give them a call.
