Need porch railings

Need help building railings for my back porch. 5 step stringer, 6 feet wide. Old railings were about 6 1/2 feet high attached to the house & ran to about 4 feet high at the bottom step. The porch is about 5 feet off the ground. Stringers rest against the sidewalk at the bottom. Have put up very simple 2X4 railings resting on 4X4 posts, but they warp easily as the steps & railings are uncovered. How can I put up either metal (bendable) or PVC railings that'll pass homeowners insurance standards? Never could figure out the angles to cut wood to fit, so railings are blunt cut & toenailed to the house & posts. The house is 65 years old. Please help!

Porch railings

You can purchase vinyl kits at your local home center or building supply with step by step instructions or build your own.

Your will need to check with local building inspector regarding permits, codes, and inspections in order to meet insurance requirements. Codes dictate height of rails, spacing of balusters, and other specifications.
