Pricing Decks

What is the standard price that you would charge to build a deck???....I understand that the labour should equal the materials cost??Is that right?? And would the drilling of the footings, sonotubes and cement be included in that price??.....Thanks in advance for your response

Pricing Decks

When it comes to pricing decks, costs vary depending on material, size, posts, rails, stairs and decking layout. Rule of thumb is that what it may cost for materials is usually close for labor costs THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS TO EVERY RULE!!

Decks can be built M & L from $25.00 to $50.00 Square Foot. And yes this would include post footings. Vairables as to existing grade, height of deck to grade, rail style, decking layout i.e. diagonal or right angle to joists, 1, 2 or 3 level... see what I mean. Best to get an estimate for labor if you have gotten material list together or ask a reputable deck builder to quote on the complete's easier that way.

Hope this gives you some insight!
