Unhappy Metal spiral stairs

I live in a log home with one interior stone wall in my living/dining area. The problem is a brown metal staircase leading to the 2d story(loft, 2 bedrooms). These stairs look so out of place with all the wood and stone, and a country theme. I don't want to spend the $3000+ for new wood stairs. Is there anything else I can do to make these metal stairs blend in better?

Stairs

Hi mmurdock

There are lots of things to do, but the real thing is: your "brown metal staircase" will be always a "brown metal staircase".

It seems obvious, but as you wrote, it will be always out of place. Consider how much money are you going to spend. Perhaps a humble natural wood staircase is cheaper than an expensive make up?

If you still want to try, I could suggest am "aging" paint look. And, a wood upper railing would help too.

Hope this helps!!
