Red face headboard/door cover

I have a very odd shaped bedroom! At one time it was two rooms that now have been turned into one long master bedroom. Which means we have two doors going into and out of the bedroom. In order to make our new king size bed fit, we want to put the head of the bed in front of one of the doors. Does anyone have any decorating or designing tips on how we can cover the door from the inside of the room? Possibly hang some fabric or make a ceiling length headboard?

It will depend of the style of the bedroom and the bed.

Can you give us more information?

Placing bed in front of door

Draping the wall behind the headboard and/or using a canopy can camouflage the door behind the headboard. Aren't decorating challenges fun? As pmgca indicated, depending on the style of the bedroom and bed, there may be other options. Hidden and secret doors put me in mind of a medieval castle. Depending on the style of bed, bookcasing the the wall area over the door and slipping the bed into the bookcase or in front of it might also be an option.

You might also consider placing the bedroom area into the one side of the room where there is one entry door and then doing a sitting room area that can be accessed by the other door. This layout is frequently found in 'suite rooms' in hotels and can make for a luxurious master bedroom.
