Where to hang a mirror on the wall

I'm not sure WHERE on my diningroom wall I am supposed to hang a mirror. I have a colonial house. My diningroom is almost a perfect square. The wall I want to hang the mirror on has a doorway from the kitchen. I was wondering if I hang the mirror center on the wall including the doorway space. I'm not sure I am explaining this the right way

OK. The wall is 11'4" including the doorway. Would I hang the picture at 5'8"? Or the wall is 8'4" NOT including the doorway, would I center it from there?

I personally think I would center it on the whole wall pretending the doorway isn't even there? What do you all think?

the doorway is there. center it on the space left between the doorway and the corner where the wall ends. however, without something below it to anchor it, i wouldn't hang it at all. do you have a buffet or floor vase or something you can place there underneath it?
