Paint Colour Recommendations
Large bedroom with high wooden steeple type ceiling painted white, white floor tiles, white windows and white bi-fold closet doors. King size mahogany 4-post bed, mahogany rocking chair, tall mahogany standing mirror, dark (Teak I think) bedside tables and possible tall dark colour bookshelf to come. Walls are currently a pale yellow which I would like to change. Curtains and bedspread still to get.I'm think of painting the walls a sage green or similiar or maybe even a terracotta. Any ideas? Something bold but not bright. The white ceiling and floor makes it difficult to choose the right colour.

please see the sticky note at the top of this forum called How to Choose Paint Colors 101. you shouldn't even try to choose a paint color before you've chosen your bedding. find the bedding you like first, then pull a color out of that for the walls. much simpler! 
since you like the idea of sage green and terra cotta, keep those colors in mind when you're looking at bedding. but when it comes down to picking the exact shade, you'll have something to base your decision on.
also, plan ahead for area rugs for that cold white floor. brrr!
