Kitchen sink color?
#1

I need some advice on kitchen design - specifically, the sink.
My walls are white, with a colorful blacksplash, and the appliances are white as well. This summer, I'll be painting the cabinets white and putting in black counters.
The sink is currently stainless, but I'm not sure if I should change it to either black or white. If the appliances were stainless, I'd just leave it, but it really seems mismatched.
Of black and white, is one easier than the other to keep clean, or does that depend entirely on the material?

If you don't mind constantly drying the sink, then black is beautiful! I had a powder room w/a black toilet and lavatory and the maintenance was intense.
Today, I have a white sink in my laundry room and over the past 9yrs. it has stained/yellowed a bit...but then I've never poured spagetti sauce in it either!
I personally think you can't go wrong w/stainless, and if you think it's all alone, maybe you could add stainless cabinet hardware, utensils, etc.
Good luck!

update
I decided to keep the stainless sink, purely to keep the expense down. I did notice that the cabinet pulls I had chosen have pewter rims that match well, so I'm changing the hinges from brass to silver-colored to continue the look.
My counters went in this morning, but they make the sink look rather dull. Is there a good cleaning product for cleaning stainless to bring back some of it's shine?

Yes, they sell it at any home improvement store (ie: Home Depot).
I personally think you made the right choice in keeping the stainless sink, BTW! For what it's worth
And there are SO many ways to pull in the stainless steel so that your sink isn't the only stainless item in the kitchen. I started with a stainless sink (intending to add a stove & refrig at some point, as finances allow)...then added a stainless coffee maker, and then a stainless microwave, etc.

Well, it now turns out that I need to buy a new sink because the old one is corroding. I might get another stainless, but I need to see how much more expensive a white one is.
What's the name of the cleaning product you are referring to?

I don't remember the name of it...but if you go to a store like Home Depot or Lowe's, you should be able to find it easily enough...they have it in two places (or, they do at the store near my house), in the cleaning supplies section & also near the appliances.
