Small Dining Room Color

I live in a center hall colonial house with greenish yellow living room and green hall-way.
I don't know what color to paint my dining room to. I's a very small room with a big window, blue ceiling lamp, and a cherry wood and glass table.

Can any one help me with this problem, please.
Thank you.

Basically, you can use any light neutral color (white, cream, beige, etc.) You could also use lime or light yellow. They are bright and make the room look larger, also lime would compliment with the furniture and green hallway.

how about a darker, richer green than the hallway?

or you could add a chair rail and use the greenish yellow color above a chair rail, and the hallway green below the chair rail.

can you replace the blue light fixture? i don't see that fitting in with all these yellows & greens.....

I second Annette's suggestion of a darker green.

My dining room is small, but I painted it a very dark purple. It goes against the usual advice of keeping small rooms light and I always get compliments on it.

I agree. Dark colors CAN work in smallish rooms. I've done it myself many times.

And the blue lighting fixture can work with these green/yellow wall colors as long as you bring in touches of blue throughout the room (ie: blue vases, blue glasses or plates, etc).

small room

well really the end decision is going to be about your taste but I recommend with the green hallway and the blue lamp perhaps a yellow ( Plus it being a cool color will not make the room feel smaller) . The cherry will really pop against it. bring in some other blue and green things around the room and you will have an analogous color scheme...
