Trying to "tie" everything together in our room to make it cozy. Just painted a nice "sand" tone- We have darker furniture with gold handles and hardwood floors. Bed comforter is pattern of hunter green, tan and maroon. Need suggestions for carpet and window treatments

[FONT=Tahoma]Hi Everyone I am new here. My name is Cheryl I live in northern lower Michigan. Recently bought a newly constructed home, tri-level. Most of my house is done except my bedroom it's very boring. I always dreamed of a faux finish with a muted key lime green, white crown moldings and dark mediteranian furniture. But ... In the house we bought is all oak (light to medium) trimmed base boards, doors, windows, door trims..etc The bedroom is about 13x14 feet with 8 ft ceilings also in the bedroom are doors that lead to a walk in closet and masterbath and of course the bedroom door which are all a light to medium oak I would like a color but not sure what would be complimentary to all of the oak, I would like it to be more romantic. Currently our bedroom is white and we have huge headboard/wallunit it is a light sand color It's about 12' with mirrors in the center and a ceiling fan in the center of the ceiling. I would like to switch out the bedroom furniture for something a little more romantic, but again not sure if I have to stay with the oak, I really do prefer the darker furniture. So I a completely at a loss as of what to do in this room. Can anyone give me some tips on color and maybe point me in the right direction with furniture and decor tips?[/FONT][COLOR=Sienna]
