Small bath with a green countertop

The bathroom off the kitchen has a Christmas-green formica counter top, cream colored sink and gold faucet. The tile floor is is a cream color and so are the walls right now.

The wall behind the countertop is one big mirror and there are no windows.

I'd like to paint the walls a different color, but don't have a clue what would go with that GREEN.

Is there a way to change the color of the formica? What other color options to I have for the walls?

The room measures 5' x 5'6".

This is my first post, I like your site!

there isn't a single solid paint color that is going to magically transform this room into something wonderful & interesting. there's no window to use a patterned fabric on. there's no need for a shower curtain. and you can't expect too much oomph from a hand towel. if ever there was a perfect place for wallpaper, this is it. it's small, so the expense won't be exhorbitant. and you'll get a ton of bang for your buck. another option would be a border & 2 paint colors, but i prefer one wallpaper to limit the lines of contrast which make rooms seem smaller. plus, "just a border" usually looks cheap.

otherwise, i would just keep the walls neutral & accessorize as much as the room can handle. one large picture with coordinating accessories might be enough. most florals (pictures) have that green color in them.
