kind of a broad question, and you've given no details about anything.

about all i can say is, paint the walls a nice color, & coordinate the colors of your bedding, window treatments (if any) and your sofa. if you're truly clueless, watch some of the decorating shows on tv, or peruse some decorating magazines for ideas to copy.

More details ...

thanks for the reply. i added a link in my post above of a 3d design of my room with the measurements.

The measurements are as follows :

2.70M x 2.28M - bathroom
1.90M x 2.16M - room1
4.56M - 3.80Meters - bedroom

Im choosing a light color paint coz its extremely hot here, dont know which light color yet! i dont know wether to go wood or tiles on the floor & the colors just baffle me!

Just want to place my queen bed, furniture, 40" LCD television, my apple computer ( has a 20" screen ) on a computer desk & a 2 seater couch.

I am gonna buy a bedroom set or pieces, computer desk & desk chair. I have the 2 seater couch already !

How do i do this ?

I live in the pool house. link to the 3d picture of my room :

okay.........if you already have the couch, we need to know WHAT COLOR IT IS (sorry if it's pictured in the picture -- i can't see the pics, so please TELL us). anything that you already have, you'll have to work around, and that helps to narrow down your choices. depending on the color of the couch, you can coordinate the other stuff. do you have any wall art already? posters etc? if so, work them into the decor.

do you want a high-tech ultra modern look? if so, buy a computer desk & lamp and any other desk accessories in a brushed nickel or chrome or black finish. if you want a warm & homey look, buy more wooden items, maybe wicker baskets for desk organization. that sort of thing. think about the "style" you want (contemporary, retro, country, masculine, feminine [we don't even know if you're a guy or girl!]) and go from there.

Just providing room dimensions gives us little to go on. " I want my bedroom, computer desk, large lcd television & 2 seater couch & some cupboards. How do i make my room look good !" This question appears to pose the issue of furniture arrangement. Furniture should be a size in scale with the size of the rooms. Avoiding too large and too much furniture in a room is important for avoiding the feel of being overcrowded in a small space. If possible, place bed in bedroom on a wall so that bed is not readily visible should one pass by the door. Nothing worse than seeing an unmade bed! The large TV is best placed in a built-in unit or armoire so that it can be closed off when not in use. It should be placed on a focal wall around which the seating is arranged for maximum viewing and conversation. You may have room for a chair to go with the love seat. If limited on room, perhaps a large ottoman could serve as a coffee table and extra seating when needed.

Computer desk should be placed in a corner dedicated to the home office. If you have not purchased the desk, perhaps a computer armoire that can be closed up would be helpful. If purchasing a desk, furniture can be arranged so that it is separated, such as behind the grouped seating or behind a screen or room divider. Depending on size and purpose of 'cupboards,' these will need to be placed where space is allowed and where they serve their purpose. Depending on size and style, it may be possible to utilize them as a room divider for the office area. Backs can be draped, paneled and painted, and utilized as an extra wall for displaying art.

A queen size bed will be too large for a small space. You will likely be better off with a regular size bed so that you can accommodate other pieces of furniture. Avoid buying all pieces that look alike. Mix it up. Keep pieces in scale with the size of the rooms. Buy pieces that allow for storage in a small space. In small spaces it is best to keep things simple and avoid clutter in order to give the illusion of spaciousness.

If you read the sticky at the top of this forum, Annette provides some great tips for choosing paint colors. If going with tile or wood floor, you will likely need an area rug for grounding your sitting area. An area rug provides a built-in palette of colors around which you can decorate. Keeping colors light on walls can give you a neutral backdrop with which you can work with many colors.

If this is a pool house, you may want to bring in cool blues and colors that go with water, such as a seaside color scheme of pale blue, sand, beach, sea green, pale peach, etc. Again, an easy way to select colors if from an area rug.
