Best way is to try different arrangements. Rather than move heavy furniture around all day, make cardboard versions of your furniture to lay on the floor.

In smaller rooms, a kingsize bed tends to take over and leave little room for navigation. It sounds like you have large pieces of furniture, and that's what's consuming the space.

Do you not have a closet? Too small? Is that the reason for the wardrobe and two dressers? Perhaps there is room elsewhere in the home to accommodate one of the dressers. This dresser could be used to store seasonal clothing. Perhaps a dresser could be exchanged with a chest of drawers from another room. Perhaps one of the dressers could be used as a side bar in the diningroom. Two dressers is one too many!

Sort through clothing and eliminate things that are worn and washed out, need mending, too small, too large, etc. After doing so, you may find that you do not need a wardrobe, plus two dressers, in addition to a closet if there is one.

If the room is square, you will simply end up creating the same arrangement no matter which wall you choose for the head of the bed. Bed position is usually chosen based on location of windows and doors.

A common mistake made is to have too large a scale of furniture for the size of a room. Perhaps a Queen size bed would be an option of opening up the room. With a dresser and a smaller bed, you might end up with room for a chair and or night tables. Thus, too big furniture and too much furniture can overwhelm spaces.

Bedroom help

A successful mixture of home decorating patterns, colors, and textures will result in a balanced and beautiful bedroom; the kind of bedroom that makes you feels comfortable the moment you enter it.
