ideas for 'covering up' a wall mounted flat screen tv?

I'm moving into an upstairs apt. converted from an added on dormer. Cute but 'cozy'. What are some ideas for 'covering up' a wall-mounted flat screen tv when it's not in use. I don't consider it a decoration... A poster or curtain is not very creative! P.S. I'll be asking alot more decorating ideas ( how to's from crawl space to loft/book nook), how to make small rooms look larger...)THANKS!

I've seen picture frames that have automatic drop down pictures. Check the net for them and maybe they have surface mount styles.

A piece of abstract art or favorite quilt pattern stitched and banded with elastic like a fitted sheet can be slipped over the screen when not in use. See: http://www.instructables.com/id/Flat-Screen-TV-Cover/

Of course, there are commercial options available like paintings and mirrors if the budget will allow.

Some manufacturers are offering their own line of TV coverups.
