Has any one heard of long oil varnish? One of it's uses is to seal floorcloths, similar to the oil cloth of years ago.

thanks in advance

Jkane - Haven't heard of long oil. It is customary for floor cloths to be sealed with interior/exterior polyurethane. Some have as many as 7 or 8 coats and are usually wiped clean and resealed about once a year.
An art supply store may be able to give you some information on the long oil.
Also look on HGTV sites for floor cloth painting and sealing information and they should have lots of information from professionals who paint floor cloths for a living.
Good luck with your project!
Sam

I paint floorcloth for over three years now and have never heard of Long Oil...though you may mean TUNG OIL????
Now adays we use polyacrylic or polyurethane to keep up with todays traffic on floors.
