Brick backsplash for the kitchen

I've been looking into some remodeling for my kitchen and was hoping to incorporate some "exposed brick feel" to it. I came across an idea that used bricks as a backsplash. Of course they're only about 1/2 an inch thick and cemented to the wall. Is this a common item I can find somewhere? I haven't been able to find any yet and the article didn't mention anything about cutting the brick down to size. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks

Kkamin, not sure if you have checked with box stores yet or not, but here's an example of what I think you may be looking for. Fairly easy to install with the web backing. Would probably need a bakers funnel to put in the concrete for the grout. Of course, follow instructions for that as well.
